The Northern Regional meeting of the ACYO-WD took place in San Francisco at the St. John Armenian Apostolic Church on January 19th, 2013. The San Francisco St. John and Oakland St. Vartan chapters of the ACYO were in attendance. Rev. Fr. Mesrop Ash of San Francisco and Rev. Fr. Hovel Ohanyan of Oakland were also in attendance. The chapters from the southern region of the Armenian Church Youth Organization of the Western Diocese convened in Burbank, at the Diocesan headquarters for the annual regional meeting. The chapters present at the meeting were St. Leon, Burbank; St. Gregory, Pasadena; St. John Garabed San Diego and the Armenian Apostolic Church of the Crescenta Valley. St. Apkar Arizona joined the meeting via Skype. The representatives from the Christian Education Council joined the meeting to pledge their support for future events. During the Thanksgiving weekend, on the 23rd and 24th of November, the Armenian Church Youth Organization of the Western Diocese of North America (ACYO) had its 64th Annual General Assembly. The delegates from various ACYO chapters convened at St. Gregory the Illuminator Armenian Apostolic Church in Fowler, California in order to review to past year, raise concerns, elect new members for the organization’s governing body (the Central Council) and to just meet old friends for a fun weekend.
